Inexpensive start up warehouse units with a design edge. The brief was straightforward and the budget tight. The blocks are basic but lifted by the use of strong colour, light boxes and pattern.

Known as the Castle Stitch, the pattern gives the units a distinct identity and was used on Singer sewing machines. The Singer company was one of the areas largest employers until the factory closed in 1980.
